Welcome to Indy’s #1 Pilates Studio!

We’re excited for you to experience Pilates at Reforming Indy.

Pilates can completely transform your body, but it takes time + attention to create your mind-body connection and become proficient on the machine. It is important to learn the basics in the beginning so you have a strong foundation of the practice. Invest in your Pilates practice initially for a better experience if and when you choose to join our group classes.

Begin your journey with an Initial Private Session.

Get the most out of your Reformer Pilates journey by starting with an initial private session.  This is a one on one session focused on the basic concepts and language of the practice.

This is optional, but we strongly recommend all beginners take advantage of this.  We believe in this so much that we highly discount our normal private session rate to encourage beginners to take advantage of this approach.  This offer is not available after you have taken your first group reformer class.

Questions and Answers

What do I do when I arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes before your first scheduled appointment. This allows us to give you a tour of our studio and fill out the waiver. We hate for a new client to start class late, and it does take a little while to get settled in on your first visit.

Help keep our studio & bare feet beautiful by removing shoes at the front door!

Quiet your cell phone to avoid disrupting classes or private sessions in progress.

New clients need to fill out the Waiver.

Check into class on the iPad or ask for assistance from the front desk.

We offer complimentary filtered water, so take a minute before class to fill up your water bottle so you can take into class with you!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, yet snug clothing in order for instructors to see & correct form.

Most clients do Pilates barefoot, however if you prefer to cover your toes/feet we recommend socks with a grip surface to keep you safe on the reformers. We do sell StickyBe and Toesox!

Fitness classes require athletic sneakers suitable for cardio, strengthening & impact movements.  Put on clean & dry athletic sneakers once inside studio.

Bring your own mat for Mat classes! We have some available for first time clients before you invest in your own.

How long are your classes?

Our classes last 55 minutes, and they run on the half-hour!

Do you have classes based on experience level?

Our studio is an all-level studio. We pride ourselves on being able to find that sweet spot for each client in an all-levels class…providing good modifications or challenges for each exercise.

We strongly encourage new clients to begin with an Initial Private Session ($39) to understands the basics, and what to expect in a group reformer class.  This is a highly discounted rate to encourage everyone to begin with a private session.

Advanced Reformer is the only level-based class on our schedule, and you must be approved by an instructor to join these classes.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to our small class sizes, we require a 24-hour notice to cancel your class or private session. If you fail to provide a 24-hour notice, you will be charged for the class or private session.

Will the instructor correct my form?

Our instructors are trained to guide you into the proper form.  They should ask your permission prior to touching you if they’ve never seen you in class before, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate if you are uncomfortable in any way with their assistance.

How many times a week should I do Pilates?

For maximum results, we recommend doing Pilates 2-3x/week. Consistency is key!

Can I take class if I am pregnant?

We pride ourselves on being Indianapolis’ Premier Pre + Post Natal Pilates Studio. Our instructors have been specially trained to give you the highest quality, and best experience throughout your pregnancy. We require any prenatal clients to take a private session to assess whether classes or privates would be right for you throughout your pregnancy. If your pregnancy is considered high risk, you may begin Pilates after your first trimester. We require a written doctors note in order to begin any Pilates or exercise at our studio.

How old do you have to be to do Pilates?

You must be at least 14 years of age with parental consent.
